Vanishing of the Bees

Vanishing of the Bees is a great documentary that while exploring the issues around Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) in the early 2000’s, draws one into the present, highlighting issues of pesticide and herbicide use in agriculture still affecting our honey bee health.  Where is the balance do you think?  The big bad, systemic pesticides (chemicals absorbed by the plant harming and killing insects that feed on them) linked to CCD.  A great watch that highlights the real horror experienced by the beekeepers and the bees. A film by Hive Mentality Films & Hipfuel Films, directed by George Langworthy and Maryam Henein and released in the United Kingdom in October 2009.
